  5. BASIC Insight is a utility program which helps with the documentation and
  6. debugging of BASIC programs.  It is specifically written for use with the
  7. programs developed with Microsoft versions of BASIC including Visual BASIC(tm).

  9. BASIC Insight provides the system developer with a formatted source listing and
  10. variable cross-reference (for each subroutine and for the program as a whole)
  11. for BASIC programs.  The formatted listing shows the range and type of each
  12. program structure and displays error messages if the structures are improperly
  13. nested.  The program can also simultaneously produce an indented source file
  14. which makes the program source easier to read.

  16. BASIC Insight can also work with lists of files that are part of the same
  17. program and provides support for INCLUDE files.  The program is menu driven and
  18. works well with either keyboard or mouse operation.  The program is also
  19. capable of processing a number of programs by using a batch file and specifying
  20. necessary information using command line switches.  In either menu or command
  21. line mode, BASIC Insight can write program documentation, along with its table
  22. of contents, to either a file or to the printer.  The user is also given
  23. control over the page layout including the page header, which may include the
  24. date, time, file name, subroutine name, and page number.  The page settings and
  25. other configuration information may be saved to a configuration file.

  27. BASIC Insight also includes on-line help and command line help functions.

  29. Hardware  Requirements :  IBM  PC,  PC-compatible or  MS-DOS
  30. computer 640k RAM, 2 floppy drives, hard drive recommended.
